Clicksmith update #1

English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes

Welcome to my first devlog on my journey to becoming an independent game developer!

I'm learning how to make games with game maker studio 2. Managing to make a pong ge, a flappy bird style game, and a space shooter (but not being able to publish it). After these games, I received an activity to do: A game where a rectangle appears on the screen and disappears after a certain time, if you click on the rectangle you gain points, if the rectangle disappears, you lose life.

So I made this game:

I really liked what I did, I did the arts too, but I could do more, so I tried

Update

My idea was to turn the game into a blacksmith game, a pretty big idea for me, so I simplified things.

The idea then would be: you need fire to keep scoring points and getting the bars. I added a furnace and a storage room. Indicating the temperature in the furnace and the amount of wood in the deposit. Also creating the buttons to go from the forge to the florest.

There was a lot of space on the screen and I wanted to make it more beautiful for my eyes so I added a background limiting the  view,  moved the buttons around and made a custom cursor. I did the same on the forest screen.

I changed the sprite of the woodshed and added a button to turn the music on/off.  And to add firewood to the furnace, simply click on the deposit, creating an instance of wood that will follow the mouse (I learned this in a previous activity) giving the furnace between 5 to 15 °C when released into the furnace.

And finally, I changed the menu, removing the statistics of destroyed bars and leaving only the high score.

There is a bug where all the bars (5 in total) are not created in the browser but it works on Windows.

I plan to add more things, maybe a store, a system to turn off the furnace, I don't know. That was my update on my game. If you've read this far, thank you very much, if you have suggestions you'd be very welcome, be kind.
